Power PANTSUITS For The Win

Who runs the world? GIRLS. And each and every girl who is ready to step out and take pride in what she’s worked on needs to be dressed to the nines! It is 2021, we’re no Damsels in Distress but Boss Babes that hustle hard. While we should be confident in our own skin, being dressed for meetings is a must. From meetings with associates or even a presentation for the team, you’ve got to be ever ready to stand out and make a statement  What better way than a pantsuit? It’s a safe bet, office-appropriate and nothing screams power more than a pantsuit.

Solid colors are always safe but a pop of color is something you could experiment with this year and if you’re the boss of the tribe you could also try prints and different cuts to make a lasting impression! We turned to a few of our favorite Boss Babes who don’t miss a chance to wear avant-garde outfits or in this case – pantsuits.

Sonam Kapoor

Make way for the Fashion Heiress of Bollywood, we mean it! Sonam looked magnificent in this custom-made Ralph & Russo Power Suit at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019.

Dakota Johnson

Even though black is a safe classic, Dakota won our heart in this Double-breasted blazer that she wore to the Hollywood Film Awards back in 2015. The tennis necklace adds the right amount of bling to this sophisticated look.

Alia Bhatt

She won our hearts with her impeccable performance in Gully Boy but she chose to win our hearts way before while promoting the film in this Moschino pantsuit.

Rihanna

The oversized custom-made Matthew Adams Dolan pantsuit surely caught everyone’s eye at the Parsons School of Design Benefit in 2017. Critics weren’t sure if this was a hit or a miss but we surely love everything that Rihanna pulls off.

Bhumi Pednekar

‘Illuminating’ must be the Pantone for 2021 but Bhumi was channeling her inner happy go lucky vibe in 2019 while promoting her film ‘Sonchiriya’. A bright outfit can lighten up any room and make any meeting feel like all play no work.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

The Queen B of Bollywood doesn’t need an outfit to make a statement, her sheer presence is enough but boy she got us drooling in this Atsu Sekhose she picked for a reality show taping in 2019. The soon to be mommy is giving us serious outfit goals!

Blake Lively

Spotted Serena van der Woodsen, oops we mean Blake Lively in a Bottega Veneta number while touring for her film ‘A Si ple Favour’ back in 2015. Take a cue from it girl, for summer dressing to look bold yet beautiful.

Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi got us crushing on her when she stepped out in this Barbie Doll Pink number at the Grazia Millennial Awards in 2019. The color brought a spark of freshness and the fit of the silhouette ticked all the boxes.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga’s outfit surely stood out in a room full of empowering women at the Elle Women in Hollywood event, 2018. She opted for a Marc Jacobs pantsuit for this event where she made a very moving speech about her mental health struggles and sexual assault.
